The percentage of college graduates entering the job market immediately has dropped from 94% in 2011 to 51% in 2014, according to the Vice-Chancellor of Royal University of Bhutan, Dasho Nidup Dorji. The Vice Chancellor was speaking at the Wednesday Distinguished Lecture Series at RTC. He also highlighted unemployment as one of the key challenges in the tertiary education in Bhutan. The Vice Chancellor also mentioned that the 9 colleges under the university are scattered all over the country for a purpose. It was to foster regional and balance economic development.
