An RTC Alumna SHINES!  

Ms. Pema Yangsel Norbu, alumna of RTC 2024, who recently won a Second Prize at the Kingdom of Bhutan International Film Festival for her documentary Without Light! Your powerful exploration of disability in Bhutan has made the RTC community proud. Your passion and talent truly shine.

We had the opportunity to chat with Pema, and here’s what she had to say:

"I was inspired by Gyeltshen's resilience in my film “Without Light,” which motivated me to share his story. Winning awards at Beskop Tshechu and Kingdom of Bhutan International Film Festival exceeded my expectations and pushed me to work harder. As a first-time filmmaker, I faced financial and technical challenges but sought advice from tutors and family, learning valuable lessons. Now, I’m focused on developing inspirational stories to create meaningful films that fulfill my aspirations.”
