Erasmus in full swing! From leadership to Blended Learning and AI in Education.

The Centre for Innovative Teaching and Learning (CITL) at Royal Thimphu College, in collaboration with VU Amsterdam's Centres for International Cooperation and Teaching and Learning, recently conducted a 2-day Systemic Coaching workshop. Facilitated by Mr. Jaro Pichel, MSc. from VU, Amsterdam,  the programme enhanced leadership skills among RTC staff through listening exercises, demonstrations, and role plays.

CITL and VU Amsterdam's Centre for Teaching and Learning conducted a 3-day “Blended Learning and AI in Education” workshop. Choosing “To be Dynamic” over “A Stickler”, Familiarisation to Tourism Management through Erasmus.

It was a pleasure to host Ms. Carolina Ines Aldao, a Tourism Specialist and a Research Assistant from University of Girona, Spain at the Royal Thimphu College for a week. During her stay, she introduced RTC Business faculty members and a few participants from the Tourism sector to “Tourism in Spain” and her ongoing research on “Management, Vulnerability and Resilience in Tourism from a Post Humanist Perspective”. Tourism has played a vital role in boosting Bhutan’s economy and learning more about Tourism is a bonus added to our knowledge pool. She also visited the Department of Tourism and Amen Tours and Treks, further helping her understand Bhutan's Tourism Management. Erasmus has always helped broaden the horizons of both the incoming guests and the members of our college.

Empowering creativity, one Adobe skill at a time—RTC’s leap into digital transformation with Erasmus+

The Erasmus+ Exchange Program between Royal Thimphu College (RTC) and WSB Poznan, Poland, led by Professor Krzysztof, has greatly benefited RTC by enhancing the skills of 25 staff members from various departments, including Marketing, the International Relations Office (IRO), Business Development Office (BDO), IT, and Administration, as well as one international student. Professor Krzysztof provided training in Adobe software, equipping the team with essential design skills that they now actively apply in areas such as marketing, book design, and certificate creation. These newly acquired capabilities will have significant improvement to the quality of RTC’s promotional efforts and streamlined operational processes, marking a step forward in the college’s digital transformation.
