As our world faces the health crisis of COVID-19, the only thing “normal” is that change can and will happen fast. In times of adversity such as this, I encourage students to step back and take a look at the opportunity present before you. You all are experiencing what will likely be a major shift in the way Bhutan is able to administer education into the future. While this is not easy for students and faculty alike, we will work together to confront the issues that concern us.

While RTC shift to online learning, some common experiences amongst students are the stress and anxiety of learning online, managing time, and dealing with isolation in the wake of social distancing. Here are just a few tools to start addressing these concerns, with more to come!

Coping with the stress of online learning (helpful tips for TIME MANAGEMENT): Cultivating a new style of learning is difficult at baseline. Trying to do it in the middle of the semester is even more difficult. These two resources will really explain how to make learning online easier on yourself.

Dealing with isolation during school closure: College campuses are typically places of group work, socialization, and community events. For the safety of individuals, we are now asked to keep our distance. This can be challenging and result in feelings of loneliness and isolation. These resources help in recognizing how this might affect us as social individuals, and how to help prepare ourselves.
